We started today’s session with certificate presentations. Linnéa Storm is now a Professor First Grade (Level 14 of 18) and the highest in Arizona. Other presentations were to Wanda LaLoggia (Level 9), Michele Nguyen (Level 7) and Susan Quinn (Level 5).
Then it was on to the workshop: So many choices, so little time. Our sensei, Linnéa Storm, started with a review of basic shoka and a little of its history before she gave us today’s challenge.
Do we want to try a divided shoka sanshuike or a divided shoka shimputai? Each type of arrangement has too many variations to be enumerated here. Check out the 12 participants’ creations to see if you can determine what each creator had in mind.
Exciting to see several certificates awarded. Congratulations and well deserved!
