The beautiful weather has returned to Phoenix, and along with it some beautiful deep purple lisianthus, chosen by our very talented professor, Linnéa Storm.
An isshuike shofutai shoka is also a beautiful arrangement to behold. It looks so simple (only one material), but it is tricky. Getting the shin, soe and tai in just the right positions takes patience and a good eye for how the plant grows in nature. Professor Linnéa has both. She took time to be sure each attendee left with a beautiful arrangement and a better understanding of the intricacies of Ikenobo.
Our president, Wanda LaLoggia, also took a few minutes to thank our official translator/interpreter, May Uttal and to present her with an Ikenobo pin and “The Art of Arranging Flowers” book.

Linnéa also presented Toby Schmich with her Nyuman and Shoden certificates. Congratulations, Toby.
