What did it feel like to enter the Zerio home for a workshop after over 1 ½ years without a real in-person class?  Intimidating?  Everyone was wearing a mask!  No… it felt welcoming!  Everyone trying to catch up on news and still get ready for Jiyuka miniatures.  We didn’t have to take photos ahead of time.  We didn’t have to buy our own materials.  We didn’t have to hope that ZOOM would be up and running.

And speaking of “materials”.  Our sensei, Lauren Toth,  outdid everyone’s expectations.  She must have had more than 30 different kinds of flowers and greenery to chose from.  And she brought a huge collection of her own miniature containers to show us and let us borrow.

Now on to class.  After a very thorough lecture and demonstration of how to create a vertical, slanting, or horizontal arrangement, while keeping the whole thing within a 5” range, both vertically and horizontally, we went to work.  And what fun!  Nobody could stop at one arrangement.

We were back to normal.  Hurrah!  Now we even a choice of ZOOM or in-person workshops.  What could be better!?
