What a delightful way to escape the Phoenix summer inferno…with flowers and greenery and cool water in a nice air-conditioned community center (thanks to Pat Maguire). Add to all that, the expertise of our Ikenobo chapter president as instructor and the beckoning unknown of the new Free Style curriculum. Who could ask for anything more?
Ten eager and curious students listened intently as Linnéa Storm guided us through arrangements emphasizing the linear character of our materials in both vertical and slanting styles. We started with the basic forms and then created arrangements that emphasized the plant’s natural beauty and our own feelings. What a great start to our Summer Camp workshops!
