1. Register: Please respond to all RSVPs before the registration deadline.  After you register, you will be sent the link for the Zoom Workshop and to associated videos.
2. Send your Payment: Make checks out to Ikenobo of Arizona. Checks should be sent to Lisa Schleier, 226 E. Marconi Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85022-3019.
3. Send Photos: Please make sure to send your pictures before the deadline so your sensei has time to critique them and you will have time to modify your arrangement and send back the picture of your corrected arrangement.

It has been fifty years since I started teaching Ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arrangement. I learned the basics of Ikebana that sprang from the styles of flower offerings to Buddha in the Ikenobo Flower Arrangement School taught by the main branch in Kyoto, and as their instructor and ambassador was privileged to travel the world. While I was given opportunities to enjoy the unique flowers found in each country, I have taught the charm of Japanese Ikebana using these indigenous flowers. It is universally found that flowers make human hearts become tender and warm. Sometimes they even become a vital support in our lives.

When you register,  you will receive a video demonstration with suggestions for creating the canvas for your arrangement.  A 2nd video demonstration will be available soon and sent to those who register.  Since I am in Japan, the plant materials in the examples will most likely be different from the ones you choose.  This is perfectly fine.

Approximately 2 weeks before the workshop, you will also receive a link for the Zoom workshop.

I will critique a photo of your arrangement and send my suggestions back to you.  You may then send your revised arrangement back to me for a final review.

During the workshop, we will review the arrangements and answer any questions you may have.
